Cornelia Hinton

NASHVILLE - Cornelia Frances Hinton, 93, of the Momeyer Community, died, Thursday, August 15, 2013.

Funeral, Saturday, August 17, 11 AM, Forest Hills Cemetery.

She was a retired bookkeeper for Wood Motor Service and Hinton Brothers Builders.

"Aunt Frances" was a very special friend and motherly figure to her nieces and nephews. She loved gardening, baking and reading magazines and the News and Observer on a daily basis. She always made holiday occasions special with her handmade seasonal favors at each place setting and for many years provided flowers, all home grown, for the senior citizens luncheons at Momeyer Baptist Church.

Surviving is her sister, Gloria Creekmore of Momeyer; nieces and nephews, Phillip Hinton (Dot) of Beaufort, Lyle Sorensen (Mary) of Huntington Beach, CA, Chris Sorensen (Linda) of Clarksville, VA, Joseph Sorensen (Robin) of Charlotte, Frances Sorensen of Danville, VA, Marla Parker (Wayland) of Wilson, Kimberly Loftin (Patrick) of Knightdale, Courtney Bass (Lance) of Spring Hope, Claire Norton (Terry) of Irmo, SC and David Creekmore (Samantha) of Rocky Mount; several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Daisy Jackson Hinton; sister, Eleanor Sorensen; brothers, Frederick Hinton and Zachary Hinton.

The family will be at her home, Friday, 6-8 PM.
