Chuck Edmundson

Charles W. “Chuck” Edmundson, 61, of Fremont, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020.

A service was held for the family at Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont, on December 27, 2020.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Donald Edmundson; brother, Donald Edmundson, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Jack and Lyda Musgrave Yelverton; paternal grandparents, John and Dixie Barnes Edmundson.

Born and raised in Fremont, Chuck grew up on the family farm and pursued his passion for tending the land and animals.  He loved to spend time in nature, enjoying hunting and fishing in his spare time. It was his joy to share these moments with his friends and family over a lifetime of hard work and dedication to following his dreams.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Lisa Edwards Edmundson; daughters, Amanda Edmundson and Ella Edmundson of Durham; son, Travis Edmundson and dear friend, Katie Blizzard, of Pikeville; mother, Phyllis Yelverton Edmundson of Fremont; sister, Tracey Edmundson Ivey and husband, Mitch, of Goldsboro; sister-in-law Linda Edmundson of Fremont; nieces Sarah Nan and Leah Edmundson; nephews, John Edmundson, Ben, Cade, and Matthew Ivey.

In lieu of flowers, Chuck's wishes were for memorial donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, Shriners Hospitals for Children, 403 E. Front St, New Bern, NC 28560 or Fremont Emergency Services, PO Box 816, Fremont, NC 27830.
