SIMS - Christopher Opie Taylor, 41, died Saturday, November 10, 2018
Funeral, Wednesday, 11:00 AM, Bailey Cemetery, Bailey.
Christopher Opie Taylor was born in Wilson, North Carolina on January 11, 1977 into the loving arms of Selby Lee and Dorothy Taylor. Throughout his life, using a God given talent, Chris developed an interest in and love for music. For hours, Chris, would write music and gladly, share these melodies with everyone, magnificently, strumming his guitar and singing for the pleasure of his audience. On countless occasions, Chris, with an unbridled enthusiasm, would convey his love of music with family and friends, especially, his beloved niece, Lauren Tiffany-Lynn Taylor.
The trials and tribulations of Chris' life have now passed. Chris has now reached the mountain top of success. He has joined the greatest of all musical groups, The Heavenly Quartet, playing his guitar and singing for The Most High, with his Daddy, Selby Lee, dancing to the splendid harmony.
To those left behind, his mother, Dorothy Taylor of Sims, his brother, Terence Lee, his sister-in-law, Crystal and his niece, Lauren all of Greenville, they, on occasion, when a sweet gentle breeze whispers in their ears will hear his eloquent singing and smile, longing for the day, that, they too, shall join him in the arms of God.
He is also survived by his aunts, Louise Bailey of Wilson and Judy Bass of Black Creek; uncles, Rudolph Taylor and wife, Ann, and A. J. Taylor and wife, Teresa, of Sims.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Selby Lee Taylor; grandparents, Atlas B. and Magdalene Bailey Taylor and Garland Opie and Mildred Patterson.
