STANTONSBURG - Charlie Edgar Page, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Uncle Charlie, and friend to all passed away Saturday, June 22, at the age of 97.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 2 o’clock pm at a graveside service in the Stantonsburg Town Cemetery. The Rev. Phyllis Mayo and Rev. John Huckaby will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, June 24, from 6:30-8:00 p.m., at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr. N, Wilson.
Mr. Charlie is survived by his wife of 75 years, Lucille Morgan Page; sons, Charles Daniel Page (Barbara) and Willie Barrett Page (Diana); his grandchildren, Susan Agar, Shannon Harris, and Sherry Stallings; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caroline and Lindsey Harris, Summer and Hannah Pierce, and Ethan Stallings; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mr. Charlie’s career was farming in and around the Stantonsburg area. He retired from his last farming position with Contentnea Farms. Since 2016 he and “Miss” Lucille have lived in Wilson Assisted Living. He was a World War II veteran and was one of the original signers for the Dail Bell American Legion Post 245.
The family appreciates the caregivers from Wilson Assisted Living and Curis of Wilson.
