Charles Barnes

WILSON -  Charles Milton Barnes, 87, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in his home.

Funeral, Friday, 11:00 AM, First Baptist Church. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.

Charles is survived by nieces, Lou Griffith of Wilson and Lee Murphy (John) of Frederick, MD; nephew, Ned Barnes (Amy) of Carolina Beach; several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; special friends, Pat Forbes and Tom Jones.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Wiley and Getrude Barnes; brother, Wiley Barnes, Jr.; sister-in-law, Helen Barnes; niece, Carol Brewer.

Charles’ creativity…his designs, his style of always knowing the most perfect color for any given room…nothing confused his eye…he always knew in styling a room, a home or a boxwood parterre...the order of every client’s possession.

He was heart and soul to all his loving family, clients and friends in his church.  This man had a passion for perfection that will now be complete as he walks through the gardens of heaven with such arranged beauty by the hand of God. Now he understands his gift…he sees from whence it came.
