Carl Lewis, Sr.

Carl Hubble Lewis, Sr., 90, of Eureka, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

A graveside service will be Saturday, 11:00 AM, at the Eureka Cemetery. The visitation will be immediately following the service at the cemetery. 

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Royal Bruce Lewis and Bessie Mae Walston Lewis; sister, Mary Lou Westbrook and brothers, Wayne Lewis and Bobby Lewis.

Mr. Lewis worked in the drywall business for over 42 years. He was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He was a determined gentleman, accomplishing anything he set his mind to. He took pride in a clean vehicle and kept a pristine yard, he loved to cut grass and wash and wax his lawnmower. 

He is survived by his wife, Doris Johnson Lewis; son, Carl H. Lewis, Jr., and wife, Michelle, of Eureka; granddaughter, Gracie Lewis; grandson, Austin Lewis; sister, Jane Bynum of Hillsborough; sister-in-law, Ann Lewis of Twin City, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Nelson Baptist Church, PO Box 3239, Eureka, NC 27830.
