WILSON - Robert W. "Bobby" / "Bear" Barfield, 64, died suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.
Funeral, Friday, December, 23, 3:30 PM, St. Timothy's Episcopal Church followed by visitation.
Bobby was a patient, kind and loving man. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Bobby worked many years in the restaurant business and was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He loved the mountains, coast and the Redskins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Louis and Reba Goff Barfield.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Sears Barfield; daughters, Lillian Koontz (Josh) of Lexington and Anna Lane (Michele Capello) of Wilmington; step-grandchildren, River and Danna Koontz; sisters, Doris Bissett (Mickey) of Wilson and Rita Bland (Robert) of Elm City and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are welcome to visit at the home.
