Robert Lloyd Frey, 72, of Wilson, died Friday, January 8, 2021.
There are no immediate plans for a Memorial to be held.
Bob was born September 26, 1948. He was a loving father and grandfather who passed away due to complications from COVID-19. He was devoted to his late wife Carolyn Frey. The two met while at Furman University where Bob received a B.A. in Philosophy. They were happily married for 49 years. He remained by her side as caretaker and husband through her own illness last year.
He was the owner of Cranberry Nursery Company, LLC. He was deeply dedicated to his work and the business. His business travel took him up and down the east coast regularly and he had many friends that considered him family. He loved to travel and have dinner with friends. Recently he enjoyed dining out in Wilson at his favorite restaurants where he was loved by and supported by the staff at Jac’s Grill and Daniel’s.
Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilson where he attended Sunday services every week. His family is very grateful for all the love and support from friends and neighbors after Carolyn’s passing and during his sickness.
