Billy John Dew

Billy John Dew, 78, of the White Oak Hill Church Community, Bailey, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 29, 2023 with his wife by his side.

Funeral, Saturday, 3:00 PM, White Oak FWB Church, conducted by Rev. Hal Jones and Rev. Ronnie Earl Davis.  The visitation will be at the church one hour before the funeral.  Interment, Dew Family Cemetery.

Billy John was in the home construction business for many years.  He enjoyed sports, go-karting, working in his vegetable garden and cutting grass with his brother, Kay.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rebecca Williams Dew; grandson, Jeremy Wade Dew; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Brooke Dew; brother, Kay Dew; sisters, Myrtle Dew Pridgen, Hildred Dew Goering; his extended family, Jose, Rosa and children and his faithful dog, “Buddy”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Homie and Eula Murray Dew; son, John Wade Dew; daughter, Jennifer Dew Worrell; brothers, Bruce Dew and  Jimmie Dew; sisters, Jessie Mae Dew High and Dorothy Ann Dew Gaster.

Memorials are suggested to White Oak Hill FWB Church, 3967 W Hornes Church Rd, Bailey, NC 27807.

Billy John loved his Lord and Savior.  His favorite verse was John 3:16;          “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
