Bill Hayes, 82, of Black Creek, died Saturday. February 12, 2022.

Funeral, Wednesday, 2:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service with a time of visiting and sharing from 12:30 – 1:45.  Burial, Evergreen Memorial Park.

He operated Bill’s Grill on Hwy 117 for 27 years.

Surviving is his wife, Bonnie Parrish Hayes; sons, Paul Hayes (Bonnie Bottoms-Hayes) of Ocean Isle Beach and Scott Hayes (Anita Barnes) of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Crystal Hall, Kaylin Hayes, Karissa Smelcer (Tyler), Alexis Hayes, Dylan Hayes and Chandler Parrish; great-grandchildren, Braxton Hall and Jacob Thomas; sisters, Cleo Gorman of Black Creek and Bobbie Ann Carter of OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Victoria Lucas Hayes of Wilson County; daughter, Angie Bailey in 2011; sisters, Mildred Crumpler, Shelby Watson, Waldine Hooks and Margie Batchelor; brother, R.T. Hayes.
