Surviving is a daughter, Bettie Wood (Earl) of Wilson: sons, Robert Parnell of Wilson, W.C. Parnell (Dianne) of Wilson, Donald (Evelyn) Parnell of Lucama: four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren: four step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren: brother, J.C.
