Betty Wall

WILSON - Betty Hill Wall, 82, died peacefully on Monday evening, October 17, 2011. She was born in Lancaster County, South Carolina on July 5, 1929, the daughter of Zebulon Marcus Hill and Bonne Esther Harrell Hill. She graduated from Wake Forest University, where she met her loving husband Vernon and cherished each day of their lives together until his death in 1997. As an education major, she began a long and rewarding career that ended upon her retirement from Hunt High School in Wilson as a teacher of special needs children. Betty is remembered for her quick wit, hospitality, and her constant appreciation voiced to those caring for her.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 21, at First Baptist Church. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter Jean "Buffy" Inscoe of Rocky Mount; sons, Vernon Wall, III, of Nashville, NC and Mark Wall of Maryland; sisters, Jean Hill Tucker of California and Emily Hill of Arizona; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
