STANTONSBURG - Bet Oakey Owens, 74, who recently moved from Wilson to Stantonsburg, died Saturday, November 18, 2006. Bet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from Batts' Lamp Shade Co. and Belks. Funeral, Monday, 7:00 PM, First Baptist Church of Stantonsburg, with a time of fellowship and sharing to follow. A committal service for and at the convenience of the family will be on Tuesday. Surviving is her husband, Carlton Owens: daughter, Gale Tyndall (Owen) of Stantonsburg: granddaughters, Shannon Honeycutt (Russell) of Godwin and Tara Carter (Tim) of Snow Hill: great-grandchildren, Meagan, Jami and Anna Grayce Honeycutt, Hunter and Lexi Jernigan. The family will be at 205 Tyson Drive, Stantonsburg.
