Betty Lamm

Betty Wells Lamm, 84, of Lucama, died Sunday, February 9, 2025, peacefully in her home with her children by her side.

Funeral, Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday, 1:00 PM. The family will be at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM until time for the service to be conducted by Rev. Daylon Mooneyham and Rev. LaVon Phillips. Burial, Evergreen Memorial Park, beside her husband, Kenneth Ray Lamm, who died in June, 2020.

Mrs. Lamm enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was good at making soap and lotions. All this was away from her work at Estes Express Lines for 35 years and Lowes for 12 years. 

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ann Lamm of Lucama; sons, Kenneth Steven Lamm of Wilson and Roger Eugene Lamm and wife, Geraldine, of Wilson; grandchildren, Dylan Lamm, David Higgins, and Lauren Lamm; great-grandchildren, Lynnsey Higgins, Trevor Higgins, Colton Lamm, and Aaron Clark; sister, Judy Narron (Ralph) and Mae Perry (James) of Lucama, Joyce Pope of Pine Level, and Marie Allen of Farmville; brother, Lonnie Wells, Jr. of Lucama.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Esther Susan Massengill Wells of Johnston County and a brother, Clifton “Starky” Wells.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Farmington Heights Church, 910 Raleigh Road Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896.
