WILSON - Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Smith Howard, 80, died Friday, May 29, 2009. She was born in Wilmington on November 27, 1928, to the late James William "Willie" and Eba Cogdell Smith. Her husband, William "Bill" W. Howard died in 1997. Funeral, Monday, 2 PM, the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 2615 Tilghman Rd, Wilson, with interment in Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro. The family will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Surviving is her daughter, Susan Mooring (Jay) of Fayetteville: son, William "Wally" W.
