Annie Ruth Exum

Annie Ruth Bailey Exum, 91, of Wilson, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019.

Funeral, Saturday, 11 AM, Winstead United Methodist Church.  The visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Interment will be in the Stantonsburg Cemetery.

Annie Ruth was met at the pearly gates by her husband, Donald Owen Exum and her brothers and sisters.  She loved life and her family fiercely.  Thank you to all of the staff at WilMed Nursing and Rehab Center and Hospice of Wilson.  She loved those girls like her own children.  They were there when we couldn’t be and loved her back.  She loved Jesus and her church family.

She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Gardner (Myron) of Wilson and Donna Erardi (Marno) of Wilson; son, Len Exum (Debbie) of Burgaw; grandchildren, Reagan G. Moreira (Tony) of Lucama, Erin G. McQueen (Brock) of Alexandria, VA, Marno J. Erardi of Wilson, Ashley Exum of Wilmington and Abby Exum of Durham; great-grandchildren, Andrew Judson and Eleanor McQueen; step-grandson, Charlie Erardi; step-great-grandson, Thorin Moreira; special friends, Sarah and Michael Haddock of Stokes.

Mrs. Exum was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Owen Exum;  parents, Robert H.C. Bailey and Lucy Mae Batts Bailey; sisters, Lucy Mae Corzine, Mary Thursby, Alta Williams, Edith "Bill" Greene, Bobbie Gordon and brother, William Jordan Bailey.
