Ann Bell

Barbara Ann Bell, 92, of Wilson, a native of Lucama, died October 23, 2024. 

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 23, 2024, 11:00 AM, at Grace Baptist Church followed by food and fellowship for friends and family. 

Ann was a graduate of Lucama High School and East Carolina University. She retired from NASA in Langley Field, VA in 1987 with 30 years of service. Following retirement from NASA, she was a substitute teacher in the Wilson County School System from 1988-2006, primarily at Hunt High School. At Grace Baptist Church she taught Sunday School and served on various committees. 

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Carey and Donnie Raper Bell; sisters, Doris McDermott and Ida Mae Lucas; brother, Bobby L. Bell; niece, Patricia Farenga; nephews, John McDermott and Bob Bell.

She is survived by her nephews Chuck Lucas, Tim Lucas, and Jeff Bell

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, Scholarship Fund, 202 Kincaid Ave, N, Wilson, NC 27893.

The journey of life that we are traveling has led us to paths of interest and we have met people that we care about. These friends have become important pieces of our lives - we love them, share with them, and appreciate their love for us. Thank you for your part in my journey. ~ Ann
