Alvin Dildy

WILSON - Alvin Dildy, 84, of Wilson, left his loved ones and friends on May 1, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Whitley Dildy in February, 2010.

Funeral, Friday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park immediately following. The service will be conducted by Rev. Gary Walling and Rev. Johnny W. Hendricks.

He is survived by his daughter, Trudy Lewis (Dale) of Raleigh; sons, Kelly Dildy and Kenneth Dildy (Tommie Ellen), both of Wilson; grandson, who was the apple of his eye, Trevor Dildy of Wilson; step-grandchildren, Ryan Lewis (Alexis) of Sprint, TX; and Kate Lewis Keith, of Clayton and step-great-grandchildren, Lilly Heder and Alena Lewis; sisters, Peggy Gay of Walstonburg, Janie Waters ("Shorty") of Charlotte, and Julia McCullen (R.E.) of Seven Springs; sister-in-laws, Louise Albritton of Hookerton, and Chris Dildy of Littleton; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday, 7 - 8:30 PM and other times at the home of Kenneth and Tommie Ellen Dildy, 4502 Hatcher Lane, Wilson.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Wilson Medical Center and his caregivers, Marie Jones, Mary Ruffin, Jennetta Coley, Volnina Robinson, and Joyce Miller and dear family friend, Helen Finklea.
