Agnes Whitley Gardner, 88 of Wilson, died Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Funeral, Thursday, 2:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.  Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gardner was “one tough bird” who loved her family and her Lord. 

Surviving is her daughter, Becky Cooper of the home; son, Randy Gardner (Brenda) of Statesville; daughter-in-law, Pam Gardner of Swannanoa; grandchildren, Lynne Cooper, Alan Cooper (Emily), Dawn Ruhman (Mike), Luke Gardner (Lisa), Randall Gardner, Amber Benfield, and Leah Peacock; great-grandchildren, Alston Cooper, Tyler Cooper, Britt Cooper, James Ruhman, Joseph Ruhman, Brianna Ruhman, Breanna Bryant, Jesse Cooper, Brantley Cooper, Remy Cooper and “Boo Baby”, a child of Luke and Lisa Gardner.

Preceding her in death were her son, Lee Gardner in 2017 and parents, Levi and Minnie Wooten Whitley of Wilson County.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1990 Fordham Dr, Ste 100, Fayetteville, NC 28304 or the Maggie Society, 606 Trinity Dr W, Wilson, NC 27893.
