Aaron Paul Massey, 53, died on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He and his wife, Midge, recently relocated to Sims and to the Rock Ridge Community.
Born in Savannah, GA on February 23, 1970, his family moved to different states as a military dependent until 1981 when they returned to their home state of Vermont. Aaron tried different kinds of employment until he became a long-haul truck driver which he continued until his death.
Surviving is his wife of 17 years, Eleanor “Midge” Bryant Massey; son, Paul Massey (Tori) of Morrisville, VT; stepdaughters, Harmony Turnbaugh of Derby, VT, and Honey Daniels of Essex, VT; step-grandchildren, Michael, Rhiley; Baylee, Connor, Brandon, Faith and Lee; mother and step-father, Lucille and Richard Jewett of Black Creek; sister, Paula Camp (David) of Melbourne, FL; step-brothers, James and Richard Jewett, Jr. (Jennifer) of Greenville, Randall Jewett (Jennifer) of Cary; special adoptive children, Shianna and Bonnie; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard P. Massey, of Lyndonville, VT; grandparents, Paul and Ruth Massey of Greensboro, VT, and Otis and Myrtle McKinstry of Walden, VT.
There will be a family gathering at the convenience of the family and a burial service in VT later this summer.
