Mary Hinnant

Mary Frances McGee Hinnant, 62, of Elm City, died Saturday, January 29, 2022.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 5 at 4:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. All are welcome to attend.

Mary was the former wife of Eric Hinnant, of Elm City. Through this marriage, she gained two "bonus" daughters, Vanessa Lynne Bryant and Amanda Kay Barrett, and one biological daughter, Erica Hinnant Mustard. She loved all three girls dearly. She was "Nana" to Rebecca "Bec-Bec" Mustard, Elijah "Shuga" Mustard, Sophia "Sassy-fras" Mustard, Kayla Whitley, Kara Blake Narron, and Alex Conroy.

Mary spent the last eight years of her life, living with her daughter, Erica and Son-in-law, Rich "Baby Boy" Mustard, in Sanford NC, where she made some great memories! Nana loved sharing snacks and Diet Cokes with her grandbabies! When she peacefully took her last breath, she was surrounded by her family at home. She will be greatly missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and James McGee, and her oldest daughter, Vanessa Bryant.

She is survived by her siblings, Julia Champion, Rose McGee and Doug McGee; daughters, Erica Mustard (Rich) and Amanda Barrett (Todd); six grandchildren.
