Lee Yelverton

Georgie Lee Garris Yelverton, 92, of Fremont, died Thursday, September 12, 2019.

Funeral, Saturday, 11:00 AM, at Wilson Memorial Service.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont.  The visitation will be Friday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at Fremont Missionary Baptist Church fellowship hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Yelverton and parents, Leroy and Bertha Aycock Garris.  Lee was a member of Fremont Missionary Baptist Church and the Fremont Rotary Club.

Lee is survived by her sons, Dred Yelverton (Dana) of High Point, Whit Yelverton (Lori) of Fredericksburg, VA and Kent Yelverton (Connie) of Fremont; grandchildren, Mitchell (Jess Hall), Wyatt (Amy Yang), Matthew, Phillip, Jesse, Morgan and Nicholas Yelverton; brothers, Billy Garris of Wilson and Berle Garris (Anne) of Clearwater Beach, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fremont Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 906, Fremont, NC 27830 or to the charity of one’s choice.
