Funeral, Friday, 11:00 AM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. The visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Leon Simmons will be officiating the services.
Janet was a devoted wife to Carl for 61 years, a sister, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Guided by her faith, her light shone brightest through her love for God and her Savior. She was a special friend to many and always had a word of encouragement to share with others. Everyone that knew Janet was touched by her loving spirit. She loved everyone and didn’t know a stranger, and often told Carl to love everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Carl R. Bunn; daughters Jenny Gardner of Clayton and Jackie Milem (Joe) of Kannapolis; son, John Bunn of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Hester (Jerry) of Florence, AL; brother, Frank Waddell (Claudette) of Plant City, FL; brother-in-law, Kenneth Jones of Loretto, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Ed Waddell and Carmen Salome Waddell; brother, John Waddell, and sisters, Mittie Lamm and Ella Mae Jones.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving and supportive care provided by Johnston Health Home Care and Hospice for Janet over the last several weeks. A special thanks to Kimm, Sharyn and April.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 3414 N. Shiloh Rd, Garner, NC 27529.
